Aero Insecticide Labs features a proprietary wind tunnel technology that was patented at East Carolina University in 2025 and licensed to the company in 2026. Since then, our insecticide testing service has been serving mosquito control programs and other agencies across the United States. The laboratory is currently managed by Dr. Stephanie Richards, who has been working with mosquitoes since 2000 and conducting insecticide testing in collaboration with mosquito control programs since 2015. Our dedicated laboratory staff work 365 days a year to maintain mosquito colonies and ensure the continued success of Aero Insecticide Labs as the leader in insecticide testing for mosquitoes and other arthropods.
Our wind tunnel testing simulates real-world ultra-low volume application conditions for formulated insecticide products. This allows for controlled evaluation of droplet dispersion and adult mosquito mortality under standardized airflow, air pressure, and liquid feed conditions.
